Roto Frank of America, Inc. employees raised over $2000 for Alzheimer’s Association and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) throughout 2019.
Employees vote for a charity of choice at the beginning of each year, and this year they chose to have their charity be the Alzheimer’s Association CT Chapter. Through payroll contributions, 50/50 raffles, bake sales, and a memorial wall in their cafeteria they raised $1585. The Alzheimer’s Association also provided RFA with pamphlets, brochures and other information to distribute to employees to help recognize the symptoms of Alzheimers and list resources for those affected by the disease.
RFA employees also raised $645 dollars toward MADD in honor of their coworker, Kyle Hermann, who was tragically killed in 2018. This is the second year in a row that employees have raised funds in memory of their coworker through a cornhole tournament, a t-shirt sale, a bake sale, an in-memoriam softball tournament, a MADD Walk, and a hot dog cookout.
