Chris Dimou Reelected as Board Member for the Connecticut Invention Convention

President & CEO of Roto North America, Chris Dimou, was reelected for a 3-year term as board member for the Internationally Recognized Education Organization: The Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC).

The CIC strives to help K-12 students develop creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills through invention and entrepreneurship. Their curriculum empowers students to research, analyze, and resolve real-life problems, preparing them for future success. So far, the CIC has served more than 17,000 students annually from nearly 300 participating Connecticut schools and trained/supported 350 educators.

The Connecticut Invention Convention was established in 1983 by educators committed to fostering a creative, innovative, and inclusive learning environment. Over the years, the growing support of their community allowed them to develop new teaching products, curriculums, regional opportunities, software, and flexible programming.

CIC’s history of success helped give rise to The STEMIE Coalition (STEMIE) and NICEE, thereby elevating K-12 invention and entrepreneurship education to a national level. In addition to CIC’s extensive reach, they have produced individuals that have gone on to receive patents and start their own businesses.

Roto North America is proud to offer our continued support to this internationally recognized educational organization. We believe that creatively educating students in STEM is essential to help them lead a successful life and broaden the awareness and accessibility of STEM opportunities in the future.
