History

Roto Frank is based in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany, and was established in 1935 by Wilhelm and Elfriede Frank as a manufacturer of hardware for Tilt&Turn windows. Today, we produce and sell hardware for windows and doors of all opening types and frame materials but remain the global market leader for Tilt&Turn hardware.

Roto has also separated into three different divisions to effectively organize our growing product portfolio, Roto Window & Door Technology (FTT), Roto Roof System Technology (DST), and Roto Professional Service (RPS). Despite the different divisions, our company is connected by our focus on our customers and our desire to offer them sophisticated solutions and premium-quality products all over the world.

Roto North America is comprised of Roto Frank of America, Inc. (RFA) and Roto Fasco Canada, Inc. (RFC), both wholly owned subsidiaries of Roto.

Roto Frank of America, Inc. has around 80 employees and is located in Chester, Connecticut. RFA began its production in 1979 with skylights. Now, RFA primarily manufactures and sells North American and European hardware solutions for Casement & Awning, Hung & Sliding, and Tilt&Turn windows as well as Hinged Patio Door solutions and European and North American-style Sliding Patio Door hardware.

Roto Fasco Canada, Inc. began as Fasco Diecast Metals, established in 1956 in Mississauga, Ontario. In 2012, Roto acquired Fasco and renamed it Roto Fasco Canada, Inc. With over 80 employees, RFC manufactures and sells North American-style Sliding Patio Door hardware and have their own in-house paint line.
