Roto Donates $2,000 to Helping Hands of Deep River

Roto Frank of America proudly closes out 2025 by donating $2,000 in employee fundraising proceeds to its 2025 charity of choice, Helping Hands of Deep River. Selected by vote in January, the company dedicated the year to hosting internal events that raised funds in support of Helping Hands of Deep River’s mission to assist veterans across Connecticut.

Long-time employee, Tom Saunders, nominated the charity, sharing: “Jen, the charity organizer, is like a little sister to me. Her dad, husband, and brother are all Marines and what they experienced inspired her to start this charity. My dad and uncle served as well, and lots of my friends are veterans. Whenever Jen hosts an event, it’s no question that I’m helping out in some way. With everything I’ve seen with vets not having homes, meals, and healthcare, there’s just no question for me.”

Many people at Roto have friends and family in the military, making them more than happy to participate in the fundraising efforts. Throughout the year, employees donated $1,605.41 through events such as hamburger and hot dog sales, egg sandwich sales, and “Chili for Charity,” where employees made their own chili while others donated to sample the entries. When the time came, Roto matched these earnings and added $394.59 to make an even $2,000 for this year’s donation.

Chris Dimou, President & CEO of Roto North America, commented: “It is an honor to uphold our longstanding tradition of supporting local charities and giving back to the community.”

The company looks forward to entering the New Year with new charities in mind for the upcoming fundraising season.
