Roto’s Contributions to Manufacturing Month in 2026

Manufacturing plays a critical role in Connecticut’s economy year-round, but October brings a dedicated, industry-wide focus to the sector through Manufacturing Month. The annual spotlight recognizes the innovation, technology, and skills that push the industry forward. From raw materials to finished goods, every stage of production relies on specialized equipment and processes designed to maximize efficiency, precision, and consistency.

For Roto North America, that everyday commitment to quality is powered by advanced technology and operational growth across its facilities in Chester, Connecticut, and Mississauga, Ontario.

At Roto Frank of America in Chester, production features an innovative 5-axis laser machine that precision-cuts 304 stainless steel operator arm to ensure strict accuracy and exceptional product quality. To support rising demand, the facility also recently added a second production shift and upgraded to a high-efficiency injection molding machine, boosting overall capacity and output.

Meanwhile, Roto Fasco Canada in Mississauga relies on dedicated Frech zinc die-casting machinery and an integrated paint line to anchor its production of sliding patio door and hung window hardware. The facility also optimizes daily operations through a direct hot-recycling process. Rather than letting zinc scrap cool down to be remelted later, the material is fed straight back into production. This continuous process reduces energy use, minimizes material handling, and streamlines daily throughput.

While advanced machinery and efficient processes are key drivers of Roto North America’s manufacturing success, the company’s contributions to the industry extend beyond its facilities through involvement in workforce development, industry collaboration, and manufacturing advocacy initiatives.

Chris Dimou, President & CEO of Roto North America and Chairman of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce Manufacturing Council, commented: “At Roto North America, we recognize that manufacturing success is built on more than technology and production. It also depends on strong partnerships and industry collaboration that drive growth and development. We are actively involved in organizations such as the South Central Manufacturing Partnership (SCMP) and CBIA Manufacturing Coalition, working alongside manufacturers, educators, and industry leaders to strengthen workforce development, foster collaboration, and support the continued growth of Connecticut’s manufacturing sector.”
