New Ultrafab Location Enhances the Perfect Match with Roto

Ultrafab, Inc., part of Roto Window and Door Technology since late 2022, has relocated its operations from Greer, South Carolina, to a new, expanded facility in Spartanburg. The move represents a strategic step forward as the company enters 2026.

The new 115,000 sq ft production facility features direct access to Interstate 85 and is located near both the inland port and airport, making it ideally positioned for efficient distribution across North America. The site includes approximately 53,820 sq ft dedicated to production, 53,820 sq ft to storage, and 6,000 sq ft for administrative functions, providing a solid foundation for future growth.

As window and door manufacturers continue to concentrate production in the southeastern United States, existing Roto and Ultrafab customers benefit directly from Ultrafab’s expanded Spartanburg location.

With the relocation, all Ultrafab weatherseals production lines have been consolidated into one location, enabling more efficient use of employee expertise and experience. The Spartanburg facility is designed to serve as a dedicated center for weatherseal solutions, supporting both product development and high-volume production. The site can accommodate up to 50 weatherseal manufacturing machines and supports 24/5 operations, reinforcing Ultrafab’s role as a technological leader in the Noth American market.

Relocating equipment to Spartanburg has also freed up space at Ultrafab’s headquarters in Farmington, New York, creating new opportunities to integrate modern technologies and innovative processes. These initiatives will support several new product launches within the “Extruded Components” and “Specialty Products” divisions. In addition, comprehensive production cells are planned for new product lines scheduled to launch in 2026.

Consolidating production at the new location also enables higher volumes to be manufactured more efficiently while reducing overall manufacturing costs. The integration of modern automation technologies further optimizes production and logistics processes, increasing productivity and ensuring consistently high product quality.

Another major advantage of the Spartanburg site is its significant space reserves, which provide ample room for future expansion. As demand grows and innovation continues, additional production capacities and new technologies can be readily integrated.

In addition to manufacturing weatherseals, the Spartanburg facility also warehouses Roto window and door hardware. This hardware is produced at Roto Frank of America, Inc. in Chester, Connecticut, and Roto Fasco Canada, Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario, with additional supply from international Roto plants.

Together, this creates the perfect match for customers, as weatherseals and hardware are optimally coordinated and available from a single location, allowing orders to be picked up together. This streamlined approach simplifies logistics, improves reliability, and enables customers to complete projects faster, more precisely, and with greater planning security.

Ultrafab officially inaugurated its new facility in mid-April, alongside customers, partners, and employees. During the event, Roto management underscored North America as a key growth market and emphasized the strategic importance of the Spartanburg location in being closer to the customer.

“The new Ultrafab facility represents another milestone in our long-term commitment to North America,” emphasizes Marcus Sander, CEO of Roto Window and Door Technology. “With this investment, we are strengthening our local system expertise. It is a key component in consistently achieving the perfect match between hardware and weatherseals and in providing our customers with optimally tailored solutions.”

Alan DeMello, President & CEO of Ultrafab, highlighted the additional flexibility for customers: “The new distribution center for Roto hardware and Ultrafab weatherseals will operate on the same 24/5 schedule as manufacturing at the site. This gives our customers a high degree of flexibility, allowing them to pick up orders when it best fits their workflow, regardless of traditional shipping schedules.”
