Roto’s Corner Drive: Enhancing Window Design Versatility
Roto Frank Window and Door Technology (Roto FTT) unveiled its innovative flexible corner drive for Turn-Only and Tilt&Turn aluminum windows at the 2023 BAU trade fair. This groundbreaking technology, which caters to windows with obtuse and acute angles, is gaining international interest for its unique design-focused elements.
The adaptable corner drive is compatible with both the Roto AL and Roto AL Designo hardware systems. Regardless of a window’s shape and size, any number of locking points can be positioned around the perimeter. This way, a trapezoid-shaped window, for instance, can achieve the same sealing properties, ease of operation, and burglary inhibition as a standard rectangular window. The innovative corner drive is suitable for inward and outward opening windows.
Roto Object Business can quickly assess the compatibility of the flexible corner drive with a given profile system. As most standard profiles have already been tested, approvals are typically granted quickly. These tests verify the functionality and sealing properties of all tested windows.
“Aluminum window manufacturers can rely on the dependable performance of our flexible corner drive when used with the Roto AL and Roto AL Designo Turn-Only and Tilt&Turn hardware,” emphasizes Matthias Nagat, Head of Sales and Product Management at Roto Aluvision. This system ensures that unique window designs don’t compromise energy efficiency or durability.
Like all other components in the Roto Tilt&Turn hardware systems for aluminum windows, the flexible corner drive meets the highest level of corrosion resistance and is extremely easy and efficient to work with. Once inserted into the sash profile, it is easily fastened in place using four piercing screws.
