Roto’s Door Product Range Continues to Grow
Over the past few years, Roto Frank Window and Door Technology has dramatically expanded its door product range. At BAU 2025, the company showcased main door solutions that seamlessly combined modern aesthetics, burglary inhibition, tight sealing, and ease of operation.
A new concealed turn restrictor for aluminum doors has been added to the Roto Solid product range that limits the door opening to 125°, preventing potential furniture, wall, and hinge damage. Suitable for leaves with a width between 31.5 – 55 in (800 – 1,400 mm), the restrictor features a damped end step, is fully integrated into the door, and can also be retrofitted.
Roto Solid B butt hinges, a popular choice for aluminum doors, were also on display at BAU. These include the 324 A three-part clamp hinge, suitable for doors up to 352 lbs. (160 kg), and the 224 A two-part version, suitable for doors up to 265 lbs. (120 kg). The butt hinges stand out with their sleek design, variety of colors, and easy installation and adjustment.
With its narrow diameter of just 18 mm, the 318 P three-part butt hinge for doors up to 265 lbs. (120 kg) blends into any door design. The Roto Solid B range is completed by the 218 P two-part version for doors up to 176 lbs. (80 kg) and by two- and three-part butt hinges with a diameter of 22 mm for doors with a sash weight of up to 352 lbs. (160 kg). These hinges take just a few steps to install, either in the rebate or in the overlap, and can be adjusted quickly and easily without needing to unhinge the door. The Roto Solid C concealed hinge highlights the sleek design of the door panel, but also ensures efficient installation with its FixClick feature. Additionally, post-installation adjustments are made easy with a single adjustment point for rapid height changes. Door hinges from the Solid C product line with sash weights of up to 308 lbs. (140 kg) passed burglary inhibition tests and boasting an especially long service life.
With its showcase at BAU, Roto aimed to highlight doors for different security requirements and designs. The Roto Safe C | C600 cylinder-operated multi-point lock has up to four additional locking points alongside the main lock, with assemblies consisting of combination locks and quad bolts. One turn of the key secures the lock against push-back and the sound-absorbing whisper latch can be turned around when installed, making for easy installation.
In Munich, Roto showcased the Roto Safe A | Tandeo mechanical-automatic multi -point lock and the standard lever-operated espagnolette. The espagnolette features an integrated mishandling device and is compatible with extensions for all standard locking patterns up to a sash rebate height of 9’10” (3,000 mm) in vinyl and wood. The espagnolette can also be combined with all Roto multi -point locks and is corrosion-resistant and secure. The second opening leaf can be locked and unlocked effortlessly using a convenient side lever. This double-leafed main door with a greater opening width and an elegant appearance appeals to architects and builders alike.
The Roto Safe A | Tandeo mechanical-automatic multi -point lock features three automatically extending security locking points, with the automatic closing activated without using the key. If the user wants to open the door electromechanically, they can simply retrofit the required drive unit with the Tandeo Upgrade-Kit.
The Roto Safe E | Eneo CC fully motorized multi -point lock showcased at BAU locks a door automatically as soon as it is closed but can be opened from the inside at any time, regardless of the locking state. The retrofittable deadbolt switch contact monitors the door status and can be integrated into an alarm system. An incredibly quiet yet powerful motor in the multi- point lock opens the door effortlessly with an extremely short unlocking time. The Roto 4in1 access control system makes it possible to open the door via various smart opening options.
The solutions showcased at BAU are proof that reliable swing doors with impressive operating convenience and a high level of security can be created using only Roto technology. This makes it easier for manufacturers to produce high-quality solutions economically and with minimal risk of errors. Going forward, Roto will continue developing the product range and services with the goal of meeting the future needs of door manufacturers.
