Roto’s Range of Sliding Patio Door Products
Whether it’s a Lift&Slide, Tilt&Slide, Fold&Slide or Parallel Sliding system – Roto Window and Door Technology offers a range of products of certified quality for all frame materials. Visitors at the Fensterbau Frontale trade show got the opportunity to see the globally successful sliding hardware in different types of buildings and applications in the Roto City.
The innovative Roto Patio Inowa Parallel Sliding hardware is the first one of its kind; through the active control of circumferential locking points, Inowa achieves a level of sealing that is usually only possible with Tilt&Turn windows. The system reliably protects against external noise and extreme weather conditions. The hardware between the sash and frame is concealed when the sash is closed and the few components visible when the sash is open have a subtle design.
The Roto Patio Inowa | Max is suitable for all sliding elements with a sash height of up to 11’9” (3,600 mm) or a sash width of up to 10’ (3,000 mm). A ball bearing and height adjustable roller unit with integrated brushes combined with a ball bearing comfort cam minimizes rolling friction when the sash moves. Inowa | Max supports sashes up to 882 lbs. (400 kg) and boasts height adjustment from -1 to +3 mm.
The Soft functions offer extra comfort by gently braking the sash when opening and closing. Both, Inowa and Inowa | Max, make it possible to produce burglar inhibiting sliding elements from any frame material.
A large number of identical parts make the Roto Patio Alversa sliding system popular especially among manufacturers who produce with Roto NX or Roto AL, since the universal central locking system comes from these Tilt&Turn systems. The roller units, sliding scissor stays, and track sets can be used for multiple versions as well. This significantly reduces storage and logistics costs.
All Alversa versions provide burglary inhibition through four components also utilized in Roto’s Tilt&Turn hardware portfolio: security mushroom locking cams installed around the frame, robust security strikers with multiple screw connections, lockable handle, and concealed drilling protection installed in the groove.
The Lift&Slide system, Roto Patio Lift, impresses with its smooth running and ease of use, even in high weight classes up to 882 lbs. (400 kg). The main components in the roller units are made from 304 SST, while the ball bearing rollers are made of high-quality vinyl, ensuring maximum durability. Roto Patio Lift is available for aluminum and vinyl elements and many common Standard and Slim profiles.
A locking pin for night ventilation makes it possible to ventilate the room without drafts. Dampers integrated in the espagnolette prevent sudden rebound of the handle and provide greater safety when operating heavy sashes weighing more than 661 lbs. (300 kg)
The Roto Patio Lift Lift&Slide hardware has been tested for durability and boasts a high level of corrosion protection, even in the standard version. Stainless Steel Plus roller units are available for areas with more stringent corrosion protection requirements.
All sliding exhibits showcased at the Fensterbau Frontale trade show are integrated in the virtual Roto City. A regional Roto specialist can provide prospective customers with information on how to work with the different sliding hardware systems.
